Estimating a Preference-Based Index for Mental Health From the Recovering Quality of Life Measure: Valuation of Recovering Quality of Life Utility Index

BackgroundThere are increasing concerns about the appropriateness of generic preference-based measures to capture health benefits in area mental health.ObjectivesThe aim this study is estimate preference weights for a new measure, Recovering Quality Life (ReQoL-10), better healthcare.MethodsPsychometric analyses larger sample service users (n = 4266) using confirmatory factor and item response theory were used derive state classification system inform selection states utility assessment. Estimated utilities modeled all ranged from ?0.195 (state worse than dead) (best possible state).ConclusionsThe development ReQoL-UI based on novel application methods generating selecting valuation. Conventional elicit values that enable generation QALYs use cost-utility analysis interventions.
